FIFA to Conduct Doping Tests Before World Cup

Chief Doctor of FIFA, Jiri Dvorak, stated that all World Cup 2014 players are to take doping test, prior to the opening match on June 12. 

FIFA has requested the 32 teams to send their schedules for the test purpose, starting from March 1 to June 12.

Dvorak explained that both the players and the team, as well as public, will have no knowledge on when the test will take place. The surprise drug test can be anywhere and anytime.

Dvorak added that the doping test will be done after March 1. "We will test all players participating in the World Cup," he said, adding that the test will be done at least once.
