Since 1994, GeoCities site provides free web hosting services. But new this new, GeoCities has not received a new member registration.
Geocities already serve the internet user for 15 years. The possibility that the GeoCities Yahoo will be closed this year at the latest. GeoCities site can only provide services in other ways such as the pay system to cover operating costs.
Following the announcement of Yahoo!:
We have decided to discontinue the process of allowing new customers to sign up for GeoCities accounts as we focus on helping our customers explore and build new relationships online in other ways. We will be closing later this year GeoCities.
GeoCities existing accounts have not changed. You can continue to enjoy your web site and GeoCities services until later this year. You do not need to change a thing right now - we just wanted you to let you know about the closure as soon as possible. We'll provide more details about closing GeoCities and how to save your data site this summer, and we will update the help center with more details at that time.
Later this year we will be closing all accounts and GeoCities web sites. We'll send you more details this summer.
