LinkedIn, the online professional network with more than 347 million
members worldwide, announced that its members in Indonesia increased 40
percent to 4 million members.
With the addition of these members, Indonesia accounts for about a
third of all LinkedIn members in Southeast Asia which reaches 12
million.
Other
countries in Southeast Asia that has more than one million members,
among others, Malaysia and the Philippines with more than 2 million
members, while Singapore has more than 1 million members. Number LinkedIn members in Asia Pacific alone (including Southeast Asia) has now reached 64 million.
"This growth will add interest in Indonesia, where the non-Indonesian
professionals to find out more about Indonesian companies," said Cliff
Rosenberg, Managing Director of LinkedIn to Southeast Asia, Australia,
and New Zealand.
In addition to announcing about the number of users increases, the
information submitted to CNN Indonesia LinkedIn members also wrote the
overall profile in Indonesia, which reflects the growth of the country
based on data from LinkedIn:
Young, well-established, always mobile, and classy: 70 percent in Indonesia LinkedIn members aged between 25-44 years. Besides the young, they held a senior position in the company - 71
percent holds the post of senior manager or longer, while 22 percent are
responsible for making decisions in their organizations.
Always mobile: 86 percent of LinkedIn members in Indonesia to access the internet through their mobile devices every day. Most of them are happy to seek new experiences by traveling either for
vacation (71 percent of holiday abroad in the last 1 year) or the
interests of business (61 percent traveling out of town in the past
year).
Ambitious in seeking career development opportunities: 90 percent of
LinkedIn members in Indonesia wants to reach the peak of his career and
71 percent looked at LinkedIn as an important tool that can help
accelerate their careers.
"As
a global platform, we believe LinkedIn can provide benefits to help
professionals and companies in Indonesia became more successful," added
Rosenberg.
