Google revealed on Tuesday that it recruited former boss of Ford Motor Company, Alan Mulally to join the company.
Alan entered in Google's board of directors.
Launched Phys , Wednesday (07/16/2014), the former boss of automotive companies joined Google's board of directors to encourage smart car technology to the market.
According to a blog posting late, Mulally was appointed on July 9, 2014. "Alan brings a wealth of experience in business and technology leadership," said the head of Google, Larry Page.
As is known, Mulally served as Ford's chief from September 2006 until June of this year. He is also an executive at aircraft manufacturer Boeing before working at Ford. Mulally who has a university degree in engineering and management will be served on Google's audit committee.
Google in May unveiled plans to build a car that can run automatically without the need for the driver. "I look forward to working with Google's board and management team to continue to deliver their exciting vision , "Mulally said.
