AC Milan are set to sack Clarence Seedorf as the club’s coach and hire Filippo Inzaghi to replace him.
Italian media said on Tuesday that Milan considered Seedorf as a failure. The future of the Dutch coach who has just coached the team for four months from his 2.5-year contract has been in discussion for weeks.

Club president Silvio Berlusconi met CEO Adriano Galliani to discuss the move on Monday night. Italy's three sports papers, Gazzetta dello Sport, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport, all carried similar reports, which were unsourced.
Seedorf, who spent 10 years of his career playing for Milan (2002-2012), replaced Massimiliano Allegri last January. Milian actually did better under Seedorf, scoring 11 wins in 19 Serie A matches, compared to under Allegri with five wins from 19 leagues.
However, Milan ended the season in the eight place, missing out on Europa League qualification by one point. Inzaghi then emerged to replace Seedorf. Like Seedorf, Inzaghi has no experience in coaching a professional team.
The 40-year-old spent 11 seasons playing for Milan, where he won two Serie A titles and two Champions Leagues titles. He has been in charge of Milan's under-19 team for the past two seasons.
