Hackers Crack Copied Data 145 Million Users eBay

online trading service company, eBay Inc.., Said that some hackers managed to access data belonging to 145 million users three months ago.  

Theft of data can be one of the biggest in history based on the number of accounts affected .  

eBay urges users to change service keyword (password) immediately because it is one of the stolen data. Ananda Miller eBay spokesman told Reuters said that the passwords are encrypted and believes his company until now the hackers have not been able to crack the code the encryption.  

"There is no evidence to suggest a direct impact for users of eBay. We do not yet know whether the hackers were successful hear-encryption keyword stolen because the work was not easy," Miller said.  

According to Miller, the hackers copied large parts data had been stolen. These data are among keywords, electronic mail address, date of birth, and a number of other personal information.  

He ensures financial data of eBay users - such as credit card numbers - stay safe. To investigate the data theft, eBay has hired division Forensic Mandiant of the company FireEye Inc.. Mandiant publicly known after the United States in February 2013 and broadcast a report on the group of hackers in Shanghai who had ties with the Chinese national army.  

Some security experts say the current Ebay users need to raise awareness about the possibility of fraud, especially if they use the same keyword for other accounts. "People should stop using the same keywords for multiple accounts. they should immediately replace the keywords," said strategists global security company Rapid7, Trey Ford.
