Gamers explore Eve:Valkyrie

Multi-player space game Eve Online is celebrating its 10th annual fan-fest, with gamers attending the event able to get their hands on the latest technology to help them delve deeper into the immersive experience.

Set in a lawless space environment in which players pilot ships through a galaxy of over 7,500 star systems, the highly-anticipated Eve:Valkyrie takes full advantage of what virtual reality has on offer.

The fan-fest, being held in Reykjavik, Iceland, offers gamers the chance to try out the game on virtual reality headsets like the Oculus Rift, a technology which has been heralded as the future of not just gaming but entertainment as a whole.

Sony's virtual reality system Project Morpheus is also being showcased at the event.
