Schumacher Could Be in Comma Forever

Written By Unknown on Saturday, 18 January 2014 | 04:41

Jakarta - It has been more than two weeks since Michael Schumacher has been in comma.

The Formula 1 racer lost his consciousness after an accident while playing ski at the Alps, France, on December 29.

The doctors who treat him are now preparing for the worst: that Schumi may stay comma for the rest of his life.

Schumacher’s brain remains critical even after two brain surgeries that he had been through since the accident. The German is still lying unconscious at Grenoble Hospital, France.

German newspaper, Bild, had received information from the doctors in France that it is impossible to wake Schumi up considering his critical condition.

The Daily Mail quoted German professor and neurological expert Gereon Fink as saying: "If the injuries are so severe that it would harm the patient, he is kept longer in the medically induced coma. Depending on where bleeding has taken place can lead to unilateral paralysis, speech disorders or personality changes."
