An Army helicopter that failed to report its location en route to
Long Bawang, Kalimantan’s border area, has been found, an Army official
said on Thursday.
“The chopper had to make an emergency landing at
Long Tulip village in Malinau Regency due to bad weather.
It will
continue flying if conditions allow,” Army spokesman Brig. Gen. Andika
Perkasa said in a press release sent to The Jakarta Post.
The
helicopter had departed from Tarakan, North Kalimantan on Wednesday
afternoon. It was transporting logistics and 10 personnel for the Army’s
border guard posts.
