Introducing Bing Microsoft Visual Search

Microsoft continued to try to catch Google. Latest effort is the search feature on the site through pictures Bing.
Features that are still in the trial version can be accessed at Bing. On the page that is available several visual search gallery exemplified Microsoft, but to enjoy a user must install the Silverlight software.
For example, a search of a digital camera will show a row of images grouped by manufacturer or price. Currently, the search is still limited by the Microsoft-defined categories.
Microsoft sure this technology has great potential. Study Microsoft claims a consumer can process the result is an image 20% faster than just the text form.
"It is clear that the image plays a big role to help consumers with variations of your search activity," said Todd Stewart, Product Manager Bing.
But Microsoft seems to be working hard to catch Google. According to Net Applications data, Google has 83 percent market share worldwide, followed by Yahoo with Bing 7 percent and 3.5 percent only. (InformationWeek / sec)
